San Jose, CA – Curtis Wong, Founder and CEO of Cloud Apartments, a product company that builds a signature line of prefabricated apartments to drive down the cost of housing and drive up the quality for its renters, was recently featured on Episode 36 of Inside Modular: The Podcast of Commercial Modular Construction.
In the episode entitled, “How Productized Modular Construction Can Reduce Onsite Costs and Create New Housing Opportunities w/ Cloud Apartments,” Curtis talks about his startup’s ideas for reducing the cost of building and how these savings can lead to greater and more equitable housing opportunities.
“At Cloud Apartments, we focus on significantly driving down the cost to build housing by changing the way housing is built. Cloud Apartments are built in a factory and are designed to snap together on the construction site through a patented system. We even have an in-house construction crew that does the final fit-out for the apartments from connecting plumbing lines to electrical to drywall. The end result is housing that is 30% more cost-effective to build and the solution to making housing truly affordable,” said Curtis Wong, Founder and CEO of Cloud Apartments.
In the podcast episode, Curtis shares how he found himself in the modular construction industry, how Cloud Apartments is accomplishing the goal of reducing the cost of building housing, and the next steps for the company.
