Nokia accelerates CBRS : Today Nokia announced the most comprehensive CBRS solution on the market – a new integrated offering with Key Bridge Wireless, designed to deploy CBRS networks quickly and easily for operators, service providers and enterprises alike.
Here’s why that matters:
CBRS is an LTE frequency band in the U.S. used to enable shared spectrum initiatives, so enterprises can build their private 4G/5G networks in collaboration with service providers – pushing forward Industry 4.0 advancements more quickly.
Recently the CBRS Alliance rebranded to the OnGo Alliance to support these shared spectrum initiatives globally, so CBRS developments now hold global reach.
CBRS promises the most efficient use of scarce spectrum for both operators and enterprises as U.S. companies work to secure networks for the growing data requirements resulting from modernization, automation and remote devices.
Because of this, it also presents a huge opportunity for cable-service providers (CSPs), multi-service operators (MSOs) and enterprises to deploy private wireless networks, and to build the platform for new use cases that drive Industry 4.0 implementation.
Stefan Pongratz, Vice President at Dell’Oro Group, said: “The announcement between Nokia and Key Bridge provides a compelling and timely solution approach for companies who are looking to quickly capitalize on the opportunities CBRS offers. Private wireless activity is on the rise and Nokia is one of the pioneers in this space, with more than 260 private wireless customers to date. This partnership solidifies not only Nokia’s commitment to CBRS but to the broader private wireless opportunity.”
