Rosendin Named Among 30 Most Innovative Companies in Arizona
Electrical contracting company also recognized for creating new technologies in construction industry
Rosendin, the industry’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, won two Arizona Business Innovation Awards for creating new technology solutions that modernize the construction process. AZ Business Magazine selected Rosendin among the 30 Most Innovative Companies in Arizona and awarded the company its Breakthrough Spotlight Award for exceptional achievement.
The Arizona Business Innovation Awards honor the accomplishments of the most cutting-edge companies in the state, as well as the technology leaders who are moving business forward. Out of 150 companies across multiple industries, 30 companies were honored during a special ceremony and only five received Spotlight awards on September 30 in Paradise Valley.
“I am thrilled to see Rosendin’s Technology & Analytics Team, part of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) team recognized for developing custom solutions that fundamentally changed how we build high-rises, stadiums, and data centers but it could not have been possible without our amazing One Rosendin Team Approach,” said Fred Meeske, Rosendin Vice President of BIM Services. “While the construction industry is traditionally slow at adopting new technologies, Rosendin’s culture of technological progression is driven by our core values of ‘We Innovate’. We hope this inspires new innovation throughout the construction industry.”
Rosendin has developed 15 proprietary add-ins as well as its Edge-to-Edge intelligence system that integrates third-party software with internal data systems to streamline processes and avoid redundancies. It ties into key software suites, collecting and organizing information about every piece of the construction project from the moment it is designed to installation on the construction site to ensure all teams have access to the latest updates.
“Our Edge-to-Edge interconnected system is incredibly valuable because it also provides a structure for Rosendin to create new solutions. One example is our Augmented Reality viewer, called SheetViewer,” said Dr. Jad Chalhoub, Rosendin’s Director of Business Analytics. “It enables workers on job sites to access critical data from multiple sources, such as the cost of every piece of equipment, when it should be installed, where it should be installed, and how long the installation should take, which has helped Rosendin increase construction efficiencies up to 300%.”
Rosendin’s 220+ person team in Arizona provides BIM, AR/VR, and other creative solutions companywide, but its commitment to innovation runs through everything they do. As a large scale commercial and industrial builder, Rosendin uses technologies to promote safety and efficiency on job sites, as well as in engineering, design-assist, design-build, integrated project delivery, prefabrication services, instrumentation and controls, and service and maintenance.
