Cauldwell Wingate, a leading New York City-based construction firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Christopher Norris to the position of Vice President of Commercial Construction. In this new role, Mr. Norris will lead the Commercial Construction Division for the firm, with market share spanning Interiors, Health Care, Life Sciences, Infrastructure, Amenities, Institutional, Retail and Adaptive Reuse. Responsibilities to include client advocacy, team building, support and oversite, maintenance and expansion of operational excellence, and overall project delivery.
Mr. Norris’ resume spans some 25 years’ worth of Commercial Construction work in the New York arena. Initially joining Cauldwell in 2000, Chris rose to a senior leadership role before leaving for other opportunities in 2009. In the years between then and his rejoining the Cauldwell Wingate family in January of 2020, Norris enjoyed great success as an executive in a premier sub-contracting firm, as a consultant and as a Business Unit Director in a mid-sized General Contracting firm, also specializing in the Commercial market. Coinciding with Cauldwell Wingate’s merge with Bravo Builders in late 2019 and the need for a strong and steady hand at the helm of one of Cauldwell Wingate’s premier projects at 277 Park Ave., Norris came back to the Cauldwell fold. “Although my time away from Cauldwell Wingate was as exciting as it was challenging, offing the opportunity to build fantastic projects from start to finish, grow teams, grow market share, and yield a host of happy clients, I have been both personally and professionally thrilled to be back where I belong. Having the history that I have with Cauldwell, I can tell you that in so many ways this is a brand-new company…strong teams of extraordinary professionals working in concert with client advocacy and unyielding standards as a foundational mindset. Cauldwell Wingate is a heck of a machine… well-tuned and ready for more… I look forward to continuing to be part of that trajectory”
“Cauldwell Wingate is excited to promote Chris as he exemplifies leadership qualities and excellent project management skills,” said Robert Palumbo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cauldwell Wingate. “Chris has a stellar reputation in the industry as a project innovator, and we look forward to seeing his team grow.”
Cauldwell Wingate is proud of its legacy work; marquee projects spanning more than a century, from the Mid-Town Tunnel, Sacks Fifth Avenue and 277 Park all the way to today’s 388 Bridge Street and 2505 Broadway. As proud of that heritage that we are, what we are singularly focused on is the future and our role in bringing our clients visions into the new and exciting New York City Skyline of tomorrow.
